Cravenplan Writing For The Web Seminar
Wednesday, November 9th, 2011Cravenplan Computers – web design Salisbury, held a free seminar about “Writing for the Web”.
There were 40 attendees who enjoyed free information during the 1 hour seminar on producing written content for the web whether you have your own web site or not.
Main points included:
- Planning carefully
- Using a site plan
- People SCAN web pages
- Keep it SHORT – 50% or less compared with paper
- Use bullets & BOLD or coloured text to highlight points
- Avoid bad grammar
- Use photos, graphs, diagrams to break up the page.
- Proof read & spell check
- Keep the site up to date
Attendees helped the “Hope and Homes” Children charity as Cravenplan donates money for every person who attends.
Also, a lucky winner received £50 in the prize draw just for replying to the seminar email invitation.
The next Cravenplan Event will be held on the 16th of November and is a 3 hour workshop on FACEBOOK for BUSINESSES
